Birth Integration

My service is to create a space for women to integrate, process, honour, grieve, celebrate & explore their births and the role they have played in their journey of life as a woman and mother.

The Postpartum Landscape

Postpartum is a unique landscape—a vortex of intensity and tenderness. It often involves a profound breakdown of identity and sense of self, as the elements that once defined you shift radically. Birth Integration supports you in navigating this transformative period.

Why Integration?

Rooted in my doctoral research on women’s birth experiences, Birth Integration is a heartfelt invitation to uncover the wisdom, lessons, and teachings woven into your birth story. Birth is a huge initiation—a journey into the unknown that may challenge you physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Many women navigate a maternity system that can be challenging, with 1 in 3 women experiencing their birth as traumatic. Yet, most receive little support to process this monumental experience.

Much like psychedelic integration, Birth Integration is about making sense of profound, transformative experiences that take you to the edges of your being. Both birth and psychedelic journeys are deeply personal, often ineffable, and can evoke a wide spectrum of emotions: awe, joy, fear, or even disorientation. Just as psychedelic integration helps individuals process and weave the insights of their experiences into their lives, Birth Integration creates a space to explore the lessons, emotions, and wisdom of your birth story. Both practices aim to empower you to integrate and make sense of these pivotal moments.

Who is this for?

Birth Integration is for every woman who has given birth, regardless of how or where you birthed—freebirth, hospital birth, or home birth, with or without supportive care. It’s for:

  • Women who had the birth they envisioned and are looking for a place to honor and celebrate it.

  • Women whose births didn’t go as planned and seek to make peace or find understanding.

  • New mothers welcoming their first child.

  • Seasoned mothers reflecting on past births, no matter how long ago.
