Birth Integration

Integration is where transformation takes root.

Birth is one of the most profound experiences a woman can go through — physically, emotionally, spiritually, and existentially. But too often, what happens after birth is silence. Whether your birth was beautiful and empowering, devastating and traumatic, or somewhere in between, there is rarely space to fully process what happened — to explore how it has shaped you as a woman, a mother, and a human being.

Birth integration is that space.

It is a place to integrate, process, honor, grieve, celebrate, and explore your birth. It’s for all birthing women — those who had the birth they dreamed of and those whose birth was did not go as planned. It’s for the woman who just gave birth and the woman who gave birth years ago but still feels the echoes of that experience in her body, heart, and life.

Why Birth Integration?

In my doctoral research, I have found that women deeply long to:

  • Find the teachings and wisdom in their births

  • Express and be heard in their gratitude, rage, grief, pride, and awe

  • Reclaim their power or deepen their sense of self after birth

  • Create new narratives around their birth experiences

  • Reconnect with their intuition and instincts for motherhood and beyond

  • Make peace with what happened and discover how their birth experiences continue to shape their life

Much like the integration of a psychedelic journey, birth integration is about making sense of an experience that takes us to the edges of what we know.

Both psychedelic and birth experiences can:

  • Alter our sense of self, time, and reality

  • Bring up unprocessed emotions and traumas

  • Open doors to profound insight, awe, or spiritual emergence

  • Leave us disoriented, overwhelmed, or searching for meaning

In psychedelic integration, we take the experience out of the “ceremony” and weave it into our daily lives. Birth integration is similar — it’s about metabolizing this enormous, liminal experience so it can serve as a source of wisdom, power, and healing rather than an unprocessed rupture.

Postpartum as a Landscape

Postpartum is its own landscape — a vortex of intensity and tenderness. It often involves a breakdown of one’s identity and radical shifts in how we know ourselves. For some, especially after ecstatic or deeply challenging births, loneliness, confusion, or overwhelm can become part of the journey.

Integration allows us to make sense of these monumental shifts — to metabolize the experience, find our own meaning in it, and emerge with greater wholeness.

What Happens in Birth Integration Sessions?

Each session is tailored to you.

I create a space for your story to be heard with respect, curiosity, and reverence. Together, we may explore:

  • Your birth story (or stories) — what happened and how you experienced it

  • How supported or unsupported you felt during birth and postpartum

  • Emotional responses: grief, rage, awe, gratitude, pride

  • Your transition from maiden to mother — what was gained, what was lost

  • Patterns or imprints from your birth experience that show up in life now

  • Ways to reclaim or deepen your sense of power, meaning, and intuition

This is a collaborative, woman-centered process. There is no “right way” to integrate. My role is to witness, hold, and walk with you as you uncover what your birth has meant — and can mean — for you.

This Work Is For You If…

  • You want to process a challenging or traumatic birth

  • You want to honor and celebrate an empowering birth

  • You feel “stuck” or disconnected in your birth story

  • You are seeking peace, meaning, and empowerment in your experience

  • You want to connect with your intuition as a mother and woman

  • You are ready to rewrite the narrative around your birth and your body

From My Heart to Yours,

Birth changes us. It deserves to be spoken of, felt through, and witnessed with reverence.

Birth integration is an offering of space — for your story, your emotions, your body’s wisdom, and your becoming.

Thank you for trusting me with your stories.
