If you live in the state of California, I am available to book for therapy appointments via telehealth through under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Christian, PsyD (PSY30295).
Perinatal and Birth-Related Therapy
Pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood are times of profound transition physiologically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. My aim as a therapist is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore these experiences and integrate them in a meaningful way. I combine somatic work, depth-oriented therapy, and relational approaches to support your whole self, including mind, body, and psyche, during this significant period.
I hold deep reverence for birth as a profound initiatory experience. My doctoral research explores women’s lived experiences of physiological birth, and this informs my approach to supporting clients through the perinatal journey. I offer therapy for individuals and couples navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy and postpartum anxiety, perinatal depression, birth-related trauma, grief, and postpartum integration.
Our work may include:
Navigating anxiety or depression during pregnancy or postpartum
Processing birth experiences including trauma or unexpected interventions
Supporting fertility challenges and the emotional impacts of trying to conceive
Grief and loss related to miscarriage, stillbirth, or perinatal loss
Integration of the postpartum transition and new identity as a parent
I meet each client where they are, moving at a pace that feels right for you, and draw on somatic, psychodynamic, Jungian, and relational approaches. We may explore body sensations, dreams, thoughts, emotions, and unconscious patterns to support healing, growth, and meaning-making during this important time.
